mutesFor more than a quarter of a century, Denis Wick mutes have set standards of excellence that have made them the choice of the world's finest brass players. There are now mutes for most brass instruments, from piccolo trumpet to tuba. Brilliant straights, versatile cup and ET and innovative practice mutes, all beautifully made with perfect intonation.

In consultation with some of Britain's finest brass players, Denis began a project to develop better mouthpieces and now the range extends to over 100 models with every mouthpiece hand finished and made to precise tolerances, with an excellent standard of polishing and plating.

Heritage Cornet

Heritage CornetThe new Heritage cornet mouthpieces are now available following the success of the Heritage trombone range. This new shape has a large amount of mass around the bottom of the cup, but thin walls towards the rim. This makes the mouthpiece very responsive in pianissimo and in high playing, but with a massive sound in the low register and in forte. Prototypes of the final design have been tested by top players from Britain, France and the U.S.A., including Richard Marshall of Black Dyke, and the response has been overwhelmingly positive. Tone CollarThe Denis Wick Tone Collar™,developed with trumpet technician and builder, Will Spencer, fits most modern makes of trumpet and cornet. It is a cleverly designed weighted collar that fits to the bottom of the third valve casing and is held in place by the bottom cap. New Packaging

MutesDenis Wick is now shipping mutes in a brand new box design. The boxes are sturdy and easy to open and close. This will make life much easier for retailers when players want to come in to a store to 'try and buy' - no problems with trying to re-seal boxes closed with sticky tape. The boxes also provide excellent protection for the product both in transit and in-store. Other mute-makes often ship their products in nothing stronger than a plastic bag offering little or no protection.

All the new boxes (which go across the complete range of mutes) come in the Denis Wick burgundy colour and are clearly labelled and bar-coded to make them easy to display. They have photographic illustrations of some of the Denis Wick range of mutes and a scene of the River Thames at dusk, to remind customers (especially the many who purchase our products outside of the UK) of the London origins of all the designs.

VibrassThe VIBRASS is a sensational new device to revive tired and bruised lips. Made in Austria and exclusively distributed in the UK by Denis Wick Products the VIBRASS is supplied with 2 AA batteries, a pouch and fittings for every type of mouthpiece. By massaging the lips using your own mouthpiece blood flow is increased, the muscles are relaxed, and the recovery period greatly diminished. A brilliant new gadget for brass players!

New Heritage Series Available

Heritage SeriesThe new Heritage trombone mouthpiece from Denis Wick offers an alternative outside shape to classic Denis Wick design, whilst retaining the proven inner dimensions. The new Heritage design has been adapted from designs originally used in the 19th Century where a thinner cup wall was employed towards the top of the mouthpiece. This has been combined with a large amount of mass around the bottom of the cup to create a mouthpiece with huge power but great sensitivity - ideal for the symphonic trombonist.

The Heritage range of trombone mouthpieces comes in all sizes and is finished with a silver-plated outside and a gold-plated rim and cup - a beautiful finish for a beautiful sounding mouthpiece!
